Che Guevara Memorial and Museum

The memorial for Ernesto “Che” Guevara captures many elements of revolutionary ideology in Cuba. In representation history and ideology are united in the memorial. Che’s
journey toward revolutionary action is easy to understand. His life, especially the respectability markers associated with middle-class experience are on display. His decision to become a guerrilla is not fully explained, but the commitment to revolutionary ideology and action are made clear.
